The Big Tree Inn opened in 1950 as a small local bar. It changed hands on October 8th, 1980 and became a sports
bar with a distinct Buffalo Bills flair.

Bills players, current and former, continue to come in. To some rookies it became an important place, a home base, till they were more comfortable in this new town. Andre Reed tells the story of his first night as a Buffalo Bill when he visited the Big Tree along a few other Bills legends. He also mentioned the Big Tree no fewer than three times in his Hall of Fame acceptance speech. Many other celebrities have walked through these doors, brought in by Bills and Sabres players. Bills fans from all over the world come to see the Big Tree Restaurant to relax and enjoy some of our famous chicken wings. They take pictures in front of the building and with the autographed jerseys of football greats like Jim Kelly, Bruce Smith, Darryl Talley, and many more. Located well within walking distance of Highmark Stadium, it is referenced by players, coaches, and staff alike. Many fans come in hoping to be lucky enough to catch a glimpse of their favorite players. With the new stadium in the works we’re looking forward to many more years serving our wonderful community.
